I received this lip balm free with Cosmopolitan magazine, I must admit I don't normally read Cosmopolitan but the free gift enticed me! As a sidenote I don't think I'd buy the mag again, its a bit too "how to please your man" for me!
Elemis Freshskin is aimed at younger women, on their website they say its for teens to twenties. This rules me out (sob) but hey I'm a rebel so wanted to try this lip balm and surely a hydrating lip balm is a hydrating lip balm at any age.
This balm contains passionflower oil, vitamin E and organic peppermint oil. When I first tried it I was put off by the minty smell (I might be weird but I hate minty products!) but the minty smell disappears within a minute so I have found it doesn't actually bother me too much. It feels lovely and smooth on the lips and leaves a glossy look.
I have been using Loving Lips for about two weeks now. In the morning I put it on before my lipstick and it does help my normally dry lips to feel and look better. I apply it every night before bedtime too.
I had previously been wedded to my Trilogy Intensive Lip Treatment but I think Loving Lips is actually better. I have been using Trilogy for years but honestly, my lips have been feeling softer and more moist since using this.
My only criticism would be that there is a teen tiny bit of plastic that sticks out on the applicator meaning I hurt my lips the first few times I applied the balm.....now I know where the sticky out bit of plastic is so I apply using the other side. I am hoping that I just had a faulty tube but I would check that the applicator is completely smooth before I repurchase.
Have any of you tried this balm or do you have a favourite balm?
Elemis Freshskin Loving Lips Quenching Lip Balm is available at Superdrug for £7.99.
